Happy half year anniversary, Mya and Dovey

Can it have been 6 months already since the munchkins joined our family? In some ways it feels as if they have always been a part of us. Today I bought a new litter box, water and food bowls in anticipation of Dovey's visit on Saturday. It will be so much fun having her with me here at the farm and along in the car on the drive back and forth to Illinois in the months ahead.
While running errands this morning I stopped and visited our local library. I got my library card and introduced myself to the director too. I really like the library system's name, Winding Rivers. Can't wait to log onto their internet database and order some stuff. They accepted my out of state photo ID even though I had brought along a wallet full of proof that I'm now a resident!
After researching the UW Extension Service education site on dahlia storage (and lots of other good stuff, by the way)  I tried to buy powdered sulphur at Nelson's Agri-center. They did not have any. Guess I'll try Home Depot and Menards tomorrow while I'm in Onalaska. But before then, I best take advantage of the sunny day and go dig them up. If all goes well I'll show them to you later.

  1. Sounds like you've been busy since I've been gone! Did you get anything good at the library?

Congrats on the 6 month anniversary. Those guys are so cute (and getting so BIG! They both have bellies now!)
