At this time of year it is so easy to be caught up into the rush. Especially this morning, cyber Monday. My mailbox is blasting me with lures to shop and save, save, save.
Do you feel up to your neck yet?
Yesterday was the first Sunday of Advent and this season of preparation offers a remedy.
Reflect. Anticipate. Prepare.
"There is more to life than increasing its speed." If ever there was a time to slow down it's now.
A part of every day there should be time to breathe, stretch, meditate. And every day find gratitude and joy to keep your inner flame aglow.
If you are reading this you should know that I am grateful for your stopping here and send my thanks.
In the days ahead, take good care of yourself.
It is so easy to get lured into the holiday frenzy, but I am trying to breathe deeply and maintain balance. It is always a pleasure to stop here, Sharon. There is a peace and comfort I find here, in your words and photos. Take good care of yourself, too! xo
ReplyDeletePaper white narcissus, candle glow, balsam swags, simmering cider, warm blankets, nestled cats...quiet mugs of tea. The sound of stomping in the breezeway to knock the snow off of boots, hauling firewood, a good book, smiles on the sidewalk down in town and windows lit at night. Such a season this is. xo
ReplyDeleteHello Sharon,
ReplyDeleteI guess this is why is it is called the silly season. Shops want you to spend spend and spend some more. I would rather sit down and have a cuppa with family or read a book.
Happy days.
Bev.
Take good care of yourself too Sharon. :)
