Getting off the amusement park ride

It has not been my intention to abandon my post. Indeed, looking back I am amazed at the passage of time and my absence.
Those who have visited with me here already know that the original intent of this blog space was to bring the ridge meadow farm closer to Jerome as he continued to labor on in Illinois until such time as he could join me here (nearly 3 years would have to pass before he could.) It has also been a window for a handful of friends and family to witness my new life. A bonus for me. Now perhaps it is only a personal journal which happens to be open.
There was an amusement park in Chicago when I was growing up called Riverview. It had a ride named The Rotor. Basically, a straight sided, flat bottomed bowl. Riders would stand up along the walls side by side and The Rotor would spin, faster, then faster. And then....the floor would drop away. If you can't imagine it, you can do a search online and see a video or two.

This is the image that comes to my mind when I think of life in 2020. And yet...

For the month of August I intend to post daily snippets of grace.
I hope you will join me.
